Mick’s spent over 20 years helping businesses grow intentionally – working alongside directors and sales teams across strategy, culture, leadership and commercial growth.

As a dad to two young boys (pictured above), his interpretation of business success has shifted over the years. It’s no longer just about building better businesses; it’s about building businesses that thrive commercially while also doing good for the people and planet we care so much about.

Because it’s great to make good money, but how can we make an impact in the world at the same time?

In 2019, Mick founded SEVENTEENx – an event series featuring powerful 17-minute presentations led by some of the nation’s most successful leaders. More than 145 speakers from organisations including L’Oréal Paris and Fujitsu have taken to the stage, sharing stories of purpose-led business success. Together, these events have reached more than 5,000 people.

Today, he shares the biggest lessons and stories from the SEVENTEENx stage in his keynote presentations.

Proving purpose and profit can go hand-in-hand

Beyond the stage, Mick also facilitates LIVINWell sessions that break the stigma around mental health and help create happier, healthier workplaces. He’s also an ambassador for the StandbyU Foundation, which supports people experiencing domestic and family violence.

Today, his work extends into mid-market M&A, where he helps business owners grow, prepare for what’s next and, when the time is right, exit. His experience gives him a rare whole-business perspective: not just understanding the numbers, but the people, decisions and structures that make sustainable growth possible.

Whether he’s on stage or introducing people over coffee, Mick has a knack for bringing people together to connect around ideas that matter. He makes room for conversations that challenge perspectives, spark action and remind us what’s possible when our business community comes together to solve problems at scale.
